Joe Zhu is the Founder and CEO of Zenlayer, a global software defined network and service provider with offices in Los Angeles, Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong. Zenlayer’s mission is to power a better connected world. To that end, under Joe’s leadership, Zenlayer has developed several software defined networking products that drastically simplify traditional storage and networking solutions.

Prior to founding Zenlayer, Joe was the SVP of Global Business at ChinaCache, where he built up from scratch the global business unit of China’s largest CDN provider. Before ChinaCache, Joe worked as the Director of Network Operations at China Telecom (USA), where he oversaw China Telecom’s North American network operations and led the development of China Telecom’s global peering policy.
